This is the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama

Rama Rama Hare Hare

In the current age filled with quarrel and hypocrisy, the easiest method for self-realisation and God consciousness, as recommended by ancient scriptures from India, and introduced by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the 15th century, is to sing and chant the Holy names of God. Of all the many names of God eg Jehovah, Yahweh, Allah, Rama etc, the names in the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra are the most potent and powerful. Just by hearing these names one becomes purified.

This material world is a place of misery and suffering due to the exploiting nature of every living being here. It is filled with ignorance and everything is temporary. Everything here must die, not just our own bodies but the whole planet, the sun and even the whole universe. But there is a spiritual realm of existence where every soul is dedicated to serving the Supreme Being Krishna, Reality the Beautiful, the Absolute Truth, and which is filled with full knowledge and bliss eternally.

We need to realise that we are not the body, just as the driver of a car is not the car, even though they may identify with it. We are eternal spiritual souls that do not die, but that travel from one body to another according to the strict laws of karma and re-incarnation. The only way to get free of this endless cycle of birth and death is to become completely purified, so that the soul can re-discover its original blissful nature in loving relationship with God, just as a mirror can shine when cleaned of all dust, or a fire can blaze brightly when the smoke has cleared. This process of purification is called bhakti yoga and we invite you to join in and become eternally blissful and full of knowledge.
